About Lesson
The Kalam Cosmological Argument is a simple and powerful argument for the existence of God. It goes like this:
-
Whatever begins to exist MUST have a cause.
-
The universe began to exist.
-
Therefore, the universe MUST have a cause.
This cause must be outside of time, space, and matter—meaning it is eternal, powerful, and immaterial. This doesn’t necessarily point to the Christian God but it is a starting point.
