About Lesson
The Moral Argument says that if objective moral values and duties exist, there must be a moral lawgiver—God. We all recognize that some things (like love, justice, or murder) are truly right or wrong, not just personal opinions. Since moral laws point to a higher source beyond humanity, God is the best explanation for the existence of objective morality.
- If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist.
- Objective moral values do exist (e.g., murder is wrong).
- Therefore, God exists.
